GoldPen Finance Service Corp ("GoldPen Finance," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our mortgage brokerage services, including our website and our SMS text messaging program.

Information We Collect

In the course of providing mortgage pre-qualification, purchase, refinance, and HELOC services, we may collect your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and information related to your loan application, such as property address, loan purpose, and loan file number. If you contact us through our website or opt in to receive text messages, we also collect the information you provide at that time.

How We Use Your Information

  • Help you prepare and submit your mortgage loan application to lenders
  • Communicate with you about the status of your loan, required documents, and appointments
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to mortgage brokerage activity

SMS Text Messaging

We operate two separate text messaging programs, with separate consent. Agreeing to one does not enrol you in the other.

GoldPen Finance SMS Notification Program. If you provide your mobile phone number and consent to receive text messages from GoldPen Finance, we will send you transactional messages related to your loan, such as status updates, document requests, and appointment reminders.

GoldPen Finance Portal Verification. When you sign in to the client portal, we send a one-time code by text message to the mobile number on your loan file, so that we can confirm it is you. You consent on the sign-in page itself, by ticking a box that is never pre-selected, before any code is requested. These messages carry no marketing and no loan updates.

Verification messages are sent only when you ask for them: one message per sign-in request, and one more each time you choose to resend the code. Codes expire ten minutes after they are issued. Delivery depends on your mobile carrier and your device, and we cannot guarantee that any given message will arrive.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Message frequency varies by loan file for the Notification Program, and is driven by your own sign-in requests for Portal Verification. Message and data rates may apply to both. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. Opting out applies to the program and the sending number you replied to. If you opt out of Portal Verification, you will stop receiving new sign-in codes from that sender and will not be able to sign in by text message until you opt back in, which you can do by replying START to the same number. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with lenders, underwriters, real estate agents, and other parties directly involved in your loan transaction as necessary to complete the loan process, and with service providers who assist us in operating our business — for example our customer-relationship management system and our messaging provider — subject to confidentiality obligations.

Those providers act on our behalf to deliver the service you asked for. They are not third parties or affiliates receiving your information for their own marketing or promotional purposes, and no mobile information is shared for those purposes.

Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality and security of information in our care.

Your Choices

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You may also contact us directly using the information below to ask questions about your information or request updates.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
